Waypointe Business Advisors is an accumulation of years of work with the professional and small business world. After seeing the same problems arise time after time we decided we needed to create a firm where professionals and small business owners could come to address the problems that are really holding them back.
Waypointe is made up of a team of select professionals whose practical experience and knowledge of marketing, financial and management strategies and techniques are geared to the needs, resources – and success – of small businesses and professionals.
Our People
Ken Hugins, Founder - Ken has been in the profession of helping businesses for over 25 years. He received his B.A. from the University of California, Davis and graduated with honors & Phi Beta Kappa. Ken received his MBA, Finance and Accounting at UCLA. Waypointe shares its offices in Escondido with Hugins Associates, an established CPA firm that Ken has owned since 1988. Ken is currently the Treasurer of the City of Escondido, an elected, part-time position.
Rosemary Daniels, Systems Analyst - Rosemary received her B.S. in Business Administration Management from San Diego State University. With a strong background in finance, management, and small business ownership Rosemary has hands on experience with "how it works". We are thrilled to be able to offer Rosemary’s systems expertise to our clients.
Lyndsey Gemmell, Sales Specialist - Lyndsey is our newest addition to the Waypointe team. She has spent the last 3 years managing a non-profit grant for a community clinic which has given her a lot of insight as to what running a small business can be like. Lyndsey will be focusing on spreading the word about Waypointe and helping new clients transition into our services.
Sharla Pierick, Director of Organizational Development - Sharla received her B.A. degree from UCLA and her MBA in Finance & Accounting from UC Irvine. With a background in financial analysis, financial systems support & project management, Sharla provides Waypointe with expertise that is benefiting both our firm and our clients. She is working here at Waypointe on business operations.
Brita Smith, Client Service Coordinator - Brita received her Bachelor of Science in Genetics from UC Davis in 2000. Brita’s experience is in Pharmaceuticals and drug screening programs and started with Ken in summer of 2003. She focuses primarily on client coordination and enjoys seeing the relief when we help clients with their frustrations. |
